내 꿈은 불안에서 해방되는거야 (teaser) 기획의도 누구나 마음속에 순수한 열정과 반짝이는 꿈을 품고 시작하지만, 가혹한 현실과 세상의 타락은 그 꿈마저도 거대한 자본의 논리 앞에 변질시킨다. 대학의 ‘얼굴상’에 자신을 맞추고, 입시 원서비를 벌기 위해 청년 연극의 이름으로 착취당하며, 급기야 유흥업소라는 비정상적인 공간에서 가짜 이름과 나이를 팔아치워야 하는 유민의 모습은 청춘의 순수한 열정이 어떻게 처참히 오염되는지 보여준다. 이 작품은 꿈을 꾸는 것조차 거금과 타협을 요구하는 세상, 꿈이 꿈 그 자체로 존재하지 못하고 돈과 생존의 도구로 전락해 버린 비정한 현실을 날카롭게 비판하고자 한다. Everyone starts out with pure passion and glittering dreams tucked inside their hearts, but harsh realities and a corrupt world distort even those dreams before the logic of massive capital. Yumin's journey—molding herself to fit the "ideal university look," being exploited under the guise of youth theater just to earn college application fees, and ultimately forced to sell a fake name and age in the abnormal environment of an adult entertainment establishment—demonstrates how the pure passion of youth can be ruthlessly contaminated. This work aims to deliver a sharp critique of a ruthless reality where even dreaming demands a heavy price and compromise, and where dreams can no longer exist as dreams themselves, but are reduced to mere tools for money and survival. 내 남자의 브래지어 (My Man‘s Bra) 2023, 대한민국 ⠀ 쉐어하우스에 사는 성은(25세, 여)은 함께 지내는 옆방 남자, 은성(26세, 남)을 짝사랑하지만, 고백은 늘 망설임으로 끝난다. 그러던 어느 날, 성은은 고백을 결심하고 은성과 술자리를 마련한다. 떨리는 마음을 달래려 과음한 성은은 실수로 은성의 옷에 물을 쏟아버리고, 은성의 젖은 티셔츠 사이로 비친 브래지어를(?) 목격하는데... ⠀ 광기와 오기로 만든 첫 영화 내 남자의 브래지어를 이제 OTT에서 관람하실 수 있습니다! ⠀ ’흔히 사랑을 ‘이성적’ 감정이라고 일컫습니다. 이성애적 사랑의 틀에서 벗어나 진정으로 사람을 사랑한다는 건 어떤것인지 답을 내려보고 싶었습니다.‘ 호기롭게 썼던 기획의도가 부끄러워져 이 영화를 오래 못봤는데, 그 이유에 대해 생각해봄과 동시에 내가 만든 이 이야기를 보낼 때가 된 것 같아 백만년만에 글을 올리기에 가장 적합하지 않은 플랫폼인 인스타그램에 글을 써봅니다! ⠀ 내남브에 대한 개인적인 생각 ⠀ 이 이야기의 제목에서 느껴지는 파격과는 달리 (요즘 같은 시대에 그다지 파격도 아니지만), 이 작품은 꽤나 나이브한 편이고 결국 내가 도달할 수 있는 퀴어스러움이란 이 정도까지인가? 라는 생각에 스스로에게 많이 실망한 작품이었다. 퀴어 얼라이라고 스스로를 칭할 만큼 고등학교때부터 지금까지 능동적으로 퀴어에 대해 접했고, 무지하고 무례하고 싶지 않아서 학습했지만 이성애자인 내가 그들에게 진정으로 공감할 수 있는가? 당연히 실패할 수 밖에 없음에도 난 왜 첫 영화에 퀴어 요소를 끌어들였는가? 이 질문에 답을 내리는 데까지 오랜 기간이 걸렸는데... 그 때의 나는 좋은 퀴어 소설과 영화를 읽고 울고 웃는 사람이었고, 깊이 매료 되었으나 그런 인물을 만들어내고 이야기로 써내기엔 역량이 부족한 작가였던 것 같다. 여전히 그렇다. 퀴어 단편들이 폭발적으로 그야말로 쏟아지고 있는데, 솔직히 말하자면 나는 그들처럼 쓸 자신이 없다. 경험하지 않았다고 해서 쓰지 말란 법은 없지만, 지금 같은 수준의 얄팍한 이해로 5페이지 이상의 글을 채울 수는 없다는 생각이었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 왜 굳이 브래지어를 입은 남자여야 했을까? 지금 돌이켜 생각해보면 나도 모르게 퀴어가 내 삶에 중요한 한 자락을 차지 했고 더는 나와 분리할 수 없게 되었기 때문이다. 앞으로도 그럴 것이다. 퀴어를 다루는 헤테로 작가라면 누구나 진중해지기 마련이다. 그러나, 언제부턴가 나는 퀴어를 두려워하고 있지 않았나? 그러고보니 내 스스로 퀴어함에 이런저런 제약을 걸어두고 검열을 하는 것 부터가 퀴어하지 못하다.. 무례를 범할까 봐 너무 두려운 나머지 무관심을 택하거나 관계를 방기해버리는 나같은 극단적인 겁쟁이에겐 차라리 멍청이라고 돌을 던져달라는 말을 하고 싶었다. 조심스러운 태도를 유지하면서도 활력을 잃지 않은 채 지평을 넓힐 수 있는 작가가 되고 싶다. 대본의 결말까지 쓰고 보니 내가 가진 특유의 이상주의적 믿음으로 도달해있었다. 그게 어떤 면에서 참 시시할만큼 뻔하다는 생각이 듦과 동시에 가장 나다운 결론처럼 느껴졌다. 이제는 이 작품을 볼 때 얼굴 빨개지지 않고 볼 수 있다. 내 연기는 영원히 마음에 안 든다. ⠀ #영화 #배우 #단편영화 #무비블록 #ott #예고편 #로코 #koomfilm #koomchallenges
